Peony Swimwear unveils new collection Sonnet

Introducing Sonnet, the Holiday ‘19 collection by boutique Australian swimwear brand, peony.
Set along a meandering coastline where the grasslands meet the sea, Sonnet is an ode to romanticism.
Just as a poem balances rhyme and verse, Sonnet brings together a beautiful balance of silhouette and fabrication.
Dreamy and romantic styles are embellished with scalloped trim details, elasticated ruching and pin tucked paneling. Sustainable Italian Lycra remains at the forefront and sits alongside visibly tactile fabrications such as thick rib in cornflower blue and a Swiss Dot in crisp white and teal.
Balancing silhouette and fabrication with subtle embellishment, the collection develops peony’s signature laid-back feminine style into an elevated, more mature 17-piece offering.
Sonnet by peony swimwear continues to incorporate Econyl, a 100% regenerative nylon fiber made from discarded ocean and industrial plastic waste, and introduces biodegradable and compostable poly bags.
The introduction of biodegradable and compostable poly bags reduces peony's total use of plastic by over 80% and saves 30,000 single use plastic bags entering the environment annually.
Rebecca Morton, peony Founder and Director, notes the label is well on its way to becoming 100% sustainably produced by 2020.
